I believe that kids furniture should be happy looking and well made. I did a lot of research over the interned and visited a number of stores and did not find anything that was well made and colourful at the same time. I liked the looks of the P'kolino furniture right away but was not sure how well made it was. I went through the effort of looking for a store that would actually carry it, but did not find one. So finally I ordered it on the internet. It came on time and was EXACTLY what I was looking for: happy, friendly, well made. My son loves it and is very comfortable in the bed. The table and chairs set are wonderful as well and sturdy. The bookcase is charming and well sized for a small reader. P'kolino is definitely good value and great design. I would recommend it to anyhody who appreciates nice things. This review is from: P'kolino Giraffe Book Case (Toy) I ordered this bookshelf for my son's playroom (1.5yo). We also have the P'Kolino safari table/chairs, so I was happy that it matched. When I got it, I put it together right away, and found that 4 screws were missing. The ones that bolt the back to the shelves (should be 8, only received 4). I put it together anyway, and emailed P'kolinio customer service (since I heard they were so great). After a week I hadn't heard back from them, and I noticed that there was some sagging in the shelves that I had put books on (the ones with all the screws in place). The screws holding the shelf-backs to the shelf were all stripped (not the screws, the wood), so I couldn't tighten them to get any better support. Overall, there were enough issues that - for the price - the shelf didn't seem sturdy enough or safe enough to keep so I returned it. Also, it didn't come with anything to secure it to the wall, which made me nervous from the start, because the back isn't flush against the wall, so... This review is from: P'kolino Giraffe Book Case (Toy) *The shipping was super fast, got it one day after ordering on regular shipping. *The bookcase is super cute, but I wish the back was flush with the wall. It is sturdy, except that it came 4 bolts short of what it should have come with. *One shelf has a 4 inch scratch, but it is fairly unnoticeable so I'll deal with it. *The width was 3.5 inches more than specified.
