I especially like the rounded corners on the table for safety purposes. It is a very modern, fun piece. *A few minor dull scratches that I will overlook again (like the bookcase). Four missing washers (like the bookcase). A little disappointed about these issues for the price. *The chair is a little tall for my short one and a half year old, but it's not a big deal knowing that she will grow into it. I have to give it mixed reviews, January 14, 2012 By  doll - See all my reviews = Durability:  = Fun:  = Educational:  Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Guidecraft Retro Racers Upholstered Rocker (Toy) The chair is beautiful and works well, came with no damage... but my boys are rough and their puppy is just as rough. Dog jumped on the chair and tour the leather. Then Someone jumped on the center of it and the threads pulled apart where the strip is. Very sad to see it get damaged so quickly...only out for a month. But the boys love it. I bought it a year ago but the boys were to young for it so I put it away. Now they are 2 and 3 1/2 and I thought it was time to bring it out. My youngest falls asleep on it. So that must say something about how comfortable it is. Really if your kids know who to care for their toys then it's worth the $. But if you kids ruin things quickly or you have a young pup...you might want to think twice. Also another corner seemed to have come unglued and had a broken peg that was supposed to fit into the slot, again I had to fix this manually and used some sturdy welder's glue to fix. I expect it to last a year or two, because the build quality was pretty poor. However, it's a beautiful toy chest and fits great in a safari themed room. Super easy to assemble - took my husband about 30 min to assemble himself, all parts/instructions were in the box and the box is soo beautiful! The drawings are quite colorful and perfect with any jungle-theme nursery and it's quite big and spacious!We also like the safety measures to avoid someone's fingers stuck under the lid - it's fantastic. I keep admiring it everyday and recommended it to several of my friends. I completely disagree that this is a cheap quality product - completely the opposite and I am a quite picky shopper. Yes it is not solid wood - but it's good quality particle board, sturdy enough to be a toy box but also not heavy so you can easily move it from place to place. GREAT TOY BOX overall!
