There is no way it could be for a 6 year old!!! More like birth to 3 years 4 at the most! But its an ok looking chair just really small!!! She was thrilled with it and we are too. I wouldn't recommend for bigger kids but it looks like it will work from ages 1-3 or so. Definitely worth $50. Will be buying another one I'm sure. We did buy scotchgard to make it somewhat toddler proof and I would recommend that everyone do so to make the microsuede last.
